GBC really shows me that there is a way to do this job, that seems so often lost with those that are entranced by the new age, in a way that honors the Lord.

"I remember the day I started looking into becoming a doula. I was sitting in an OB's office thinking about what I wanted my life to be. I was a surrogate at the time and struggled with what I was going to be doing after this. That is when I noticed for the first time that this OB was a Christian clinic! I felt the pull from God saying my oath was similar. So, I started looking at the many professions surrounding pregnancy and women's care. But when I read the title of Doula I just knew. So, my search shifted from just working around pregnancy to becoming a doula. Because I was being called to this by the Lord, I knew I had to find a way to keep Him at the center from the very beginning. That was when I found GBC!
My class was incredible, the other women in there were the best community I could have asked for on this journey. But most importantly it was incredible to learn about this field in a way that is Christ-centered. GBC really shows me that there is a way to do this job, that seems so often lost with those that are entranced by the new age, in a way that honors the Lord. The class itself was easier than I had anticipated. There was such a heavy focus on meeting us where we were at and thoroughly covering what was required to know. This faithful approach to teaching made it one of the most blissful experiences I have had on this journey. And now I am so happy to say that GBC is a part of my foundation as a Doula."
